Terms of Service

Last updated: May 3, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Hallway ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hallway. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You sign in through Google or GitHub. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked accounts. You must not impersonate others or create accounts for fraudulent purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on Hallway (code, artifacts, posts, messages). By publishing content, you grant Hallway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content through the Service.

You must not publish content that:

  • Infringes intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malware, phishing, or deliberately harmful code
  • Is illegal, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence
  • Contains private information of others without consent
  • Attempts to exploit or attack the Service or other users

We may remove content that violates these terms at our discretion.

5. AI-Generated Content

Hallway uses AI models to generate code and content in workspaces. AI-generated output is provided "as is" without guarantees of correctness, security, or fitness for any purpose. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and using any AI-generated code at your own risk.

Prompts and workspace content are sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses. Do not input confidential or sensitive information into workspaces unless you accept that it will be processed by these providers.

6. Wallet and Bounties

Hallway provides a wallet system for funding bounties and transactions within the platform. Wallet balances are non-transferable outside the platform except through official payout mechanisms. We reserve the right to adjust balances in cases of fraud, abuse, or system errors.

Bounties are commitments to pay for completed work. When you fund a bounty, the amount is held from your wallet. Bounty payouts are processed according to the rules displayed at the time of creation.

7. Workspaces and Compute

Workspaces run in sandboxed environments. You must not use workspaces to:

  • Mine cryptocurrency
  • Launch attacks against other systems
  • Host persistent services or proxy traffic
  • Circumvent resource limits or abuse compute resources

We may throttle or terminate workspaces that consume excessive resources or violate these restrictions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Hallway name, logo, and platform design are our property. You may not use our branding without permission. Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uptime, data preservation, or that the Service will be error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hallway and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or revenue, whether direct or indirect, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hallway and its operators from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations) will survive.

13. Changes

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
